Using tags on cards creates a fun look and feel to handmade greeting cards. I like to make my own tags out of patterned paper (some people call it designer paper or printed paper, it’s just paper or cardstock that has a printed design on it) with tag dies like the ones below (affiliate link provided at no extra cost to you-I will receive a small portion of any purchase you make using the link):

Adding some embellishments on the card make it all the more attractive, which is what I did with the ribbon, stickers, and a marker to darken the greeting. Here is a look at the supplies I used.

These items are things I have had in my craft room for a while. I tend to use my supplies for what I need and then save it for later. That way, I always have something to use when the occasion arises. However, it also means that when I show it to you, some of the items may not be available. No worries! Use what you have. If you don’t have the exact pattern paper, use one with a similar theme and just create the same layout. Find coordinating embellishments, and viola, you’ll have your own creation.
The cardstock on this card is the Spellbinders Color Essentials cardstock in the colors: alabaster and pink sand. The panel behind the tag and the scalloped circle is pink vellum. The shiny, iridescent borders along the vellum’s edge is a peel-off border sticker from Love from Lizi in the UK. You’ll have to pay extra shipping and fees to get it, but it’s worth it in my opinion.
