Appreciation (or Love You) Card

I decided to go all out and not just make a card, but decorate an envelope to match the card as well as the inside of the card! I was inspired by all the die cut flowers I had cut out of cardstock. The card was made using supplies from the Spellbinder’s April 2021 card kit of the month called, “Sincerely Yours.” It comes with floral dies and a die to make a miniature faux envelope. It is ADORABLE!

There are many choices you have with this card. I mentioned some of them in the video below, but here are some more things you may choose to change:

  • https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product?id=304082the greeting to fit your occasion (it would make a great Mother’s Day Card or Hello Friend Card or Birthday Card)
  • the color scheme to fit your likes or the recipient or the season
  • make a flat miniature envelope instead of one with dimension
  • the arrangement of the floral die cuts (more of a round bouquet or maybe just a sprinkling of flowers instead of a bouquet with stems)
  • and much more – the sky’s the limit!
  • frame the miniature envelope with a different shape frame or a thinner rectangle frame like the A2 Thin Frames Wafer Dies at Simon Says Stamp or their Frames Wafer Dies.

I definitely recommend using all of your dies to cut out as many items as you’d like before you start using this kit to make cards. Doing this will save you time in the long run and it will inspire your creativity as you sit down with all those die cut shapes to make cards! I store my die cuts in a small tin from the dollar tree with a lid that has a magnet on the bottom. I adhered a magnetic sheet to the side of the storage drawers next to the desk where I keep my die cutting machine so I can “stick” the tins right there and have them handy when I start die cutting. It is nice and neat and out of the way until I’m ready to make cards…I grab the tin and go to town!

The 3 round tins you see here are attached to the side of my storage drawers with an adhesive magnetic sheet.
