Hello and Merry Christmas to you! If you enjoy crafting with paper, I have four Christmas cards for you today. I hope they bring you inspiration and ideas for your own cardmaking. I used some pattern paper from Echo Park called, “The First Noel.” I used very traditional layouts, but I made them stand out by embellishing them with frames and die cuts and special papers that sparkle and shine.

The Hero Arts nested rectangle and square dies were used to create 1/8″ frames for some of the cards. Spellbinders Elegant Twist Squares dies were used to create a mat for another card’s focal point. I have an old corner punch that does an inverted corner which I used for the focal point on one of the cards. These are hard to find so use any decorative corner die or punch you have on hand. The goal is to add some interest to the corners of the focal image. The Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia die was used to create the poinsettia for one of the cards. Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold was used to add the dots on the center of the poinsettia. Pearlescent papers and holographic border stickers/foil tape and gemstones bring in some bling and glitz for these cards. Finally, gel pens, glitter pens and brushes, and glaze pens were used to draw attention to the elements on each card and highlight them.
