I heard somewhere that pink was going to be the “in” color this winter, so I decided to make a Christmas card using it. I like the green and pink together :0)
This was a pretty easy card, and I made it even easier by using a 3 x 5 blank index card for the front panel…no trimming necessary 😉
The pink gingham stamp is from Kaisercraft and the color layering tree is from Hero Arts. I used my Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Stamping Platform to stamp these with a Memento dye in in Angel pink for the gingham background and four shades of green for the tree. The base stamp was stamped in Bamboo Leaves, next was Cottage Ivy, then Olive Grove, and finally Northern Pine.
I heat embossed the snowflakes with Hampton Arts embossing powder in a glittery white and the “Merry Christmas” greeting was done with Hampton Arts embossing powder in black.
To make the ornaments and star pop, I used my Sakura Glaze pen to color them in and then added a white highlight with a Signo Uniball white gel pen.
That’s it! Pretty simple…hope you try it yourself. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Check out the video below.
