So, I love clean and simple cards.  They tend to have an air of class and sophistication, but they can be fun and playful as well.  That is what I chose to do for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge 116 Clean and Simple Fall.  Instructions and video below.

To  make this card, I decided to use some pumpkin dies and a gel printing plate by Gelli Arts with red, yellow, and orange craft acrylic paints.  I used regular copy paper and a swivel x-acto knife to cut out a frame.  I also had to cover the edges in the image below where you can see the paint so that only that wonky boarder would print on my card.  BTW, I used a soft brayer to spread the paint on the gel printing plate.

Then, I used the pumpkin dies to create a pumpkin template.  I had to apply paint to my gel printing plate a second time to pull the pumpkin print.

When it was all dry, I used a Uniball Signo white gel pen to add some doodling details and a cute stamp set by Your Next Stamp (http://www.yournextstamp.com) called “Fun Faces” to add the faces to the pumpkins. I used versa-fine ink for this, but I should have used my Pitt artist brush pen in black to apply ink to the stamps instead. It works better on top of acrylic paint – less smudges.
